Back again and ready to write another post for today. And this about a certain affiliate program, or at least that is what they seem to refer to themselves as. Not only am I documenting everything that I am doing in this work at home, experimental venture, I also want to review and notify you of whatever affiliate programs I come across. And just be plain honest about my feelings on things.
I just recently tried to post another ad on Craigslist, but Craigslist wouldn't let me. The ads were too similar. Just wanted to let you know that small amount of info. But while I was posting there the first time, I was looking at some of the other ads in the small business ads section that I was posting in.
I happened across this one program that seems rather interesting. I have NOT signed up with it since this work at home experiment utilizing PayPal, LinkShare, and Google ads, is not about spending money. It is
about doing everything you need to do for free, unless you have to have a needed tool like your own URL or website hosting. So far, NO money has been spent. I would really like this work at home blog to completely self sufficient.
Well, THIS affiliate costs $20 to join. It is called EyeEarn. Catchy brand name, I thought anyway. And it is apparently connected to some other sights that seem interesting as well. Let me tell you what I have found out so far.
The head company seems to be called SFI. They claim to have been in business for more than ten years and have 8000 people signing up every week. And they have the oh so tempting verbage of "work only 5 hours a week " and such.
But the main concept is that although you can sign up for free, you don't seem to get anything unless you pay your $20. Then you get an advertising kit with a static banner to place in your car, T-shirts, stickers and such to promote the company. You also get a website that has your affiliate number for at least one website ( if not two ) that are like marketing portals. Im impressed, but I'm not at the same time. The products that I have seen thus far just don't get me excited. And I also found out to make certain commissions you have to buy from those sites at least once a month. Here is quote from their site that was interesting though :
. . . "EyeEarn is one of the largest global advertising co-ops ever created. Already, thousands of people are participating all over the world (check out our gallery HERE). In time, we expect MILLIONS to join the network! In other words, as an EyeEarn participant you benefit not only from your own, personal promotions but also from the efforts of EVERYONE ELSE in the network—from EVERY EyeEarner in the world!"
So, to me, the co-op part of things sounds kinda good. Of course, like most other programs, it seems you have to spend money to qualify and send people to your own site to get credit. It also sounds like that you could make money on the co-op side as long as you are buying products from them, but that seems like stretch. i did some research on what people had to say about the company. Others were looking for info on them just as I was. Some were just beginning with the company and posting very small amounts of income. Didn't seem to be worth it for what you were had to do, had to spend, and what you are getting. That is my own opinion of course, since there didn't seem to be too much said as far as the negatives.
But one thing that I noticed that seemed to be telling was that most of the info from other people seemed to be from 2008. Not a lot of real recent reviews or anything. That tells me those people are not active anymore, but I could be wrong.
Although this company seems to utilize a networking strategy, it doesn't seem to exactly be a network marketing company, or multi-level marketing company. To tell you the truth, most companies utilize networking anyway, so i don't have a problem with that at all. And if they were a an MLM type of company, that wouldn't scare me either. As a matter of fact, I will probably blog about network marketing pretty soon as well. I definitely have few opinions on that topic as well. but I digress.
So to sum things up, i am going to say that this company might actually be a good company with a decent business model. But I don't trust it enough right now to join and spend money I don't really have with out the promise of at least breaking even every month. And that shouldn't take that much money to make to do so.
I will leave the links to their websites here so you all can check them out and see what you think. Feel free to leave a comment and your opinion on what you find. And if you happen to be an affiliate of this company, I would REALLY like to here from you, and how you are doing with this particular program. Maybe you can convince me to take a leap and do it !
This is the link, including the person who is the affiliate so they can receive credit for you if you do decide it something you want to do. You can check out the TripleClicks.com site and the MaxMalls.com site from there.
