Other Affiliate Links On The Work At Home Experiment

WOW ! We have really been moving ! And it is only a couple of days work so far !

But since we are shuffling right along we might as well talk about other affiliate links you can make money with. Google AdSense isn't the only horse in the race you know. As terrific as it might be, there are still others.

Let me give you an example. Right now, I am waiting on the pending approval to be an affiliate of a multi-player online sim called Second Life. I at least thought it would be easier to be one, but they actually go through and approve sites taken into consideration traffic and content, and other various variables. I am really hoping they approve ME. I love their site. It has an economy built in using their own currency. And you exchange their currency, which are called "Lindens" or "Linden Dollars" for REAL WORLD currency. Some people actually make a living in Second Life with actual businesses they have started with in the online Second Life community. We will go more in depth later on, but I just bring them up because I want you to know that I am wanting to be an affiliate with them and make money as well. And it is a real product that I personally endorse.

What I didn't know at the time was that you had to go through another company to set up the affiliate program. And THIS company ALSO has an affiliate program ! Confused yet ? Awww...you shouldn't be. The other company is called LinkShare. Just like with the email, and blog site, and PayPal, you have to sign up and get set up. And Second Life isn't the only company they set up affiliates for. They set up a bunch of
companies that you can be an affiliate for, once you are approved. If you aren't approved right away, just be patient. Eventually your site will have the traffic it needs. And you do that through marketing your site or blog.

But be warned ! Be sure the read all of the different companies or affiliates terms of service and policies. You can get outed by doing things on your site like asking people to click on links within your site or promising incentives if they do. They want people to come to your site because of the content, and then if the visitor is interested, they will click on the ads on your site. this is better for them because the customer is pre-qualified and more likely to actually buy something. To be "converted". They don't want to waste money by paying people that are just trying to defraud them.

So, it is really pretty much the same thing as setting up the PayPal button link. Go to LinkShare, get set up, start with companies that you like and get the html codes that create the ads you want to put on your blog or site. Then go your blog Dashboard, go to Layouts, and click on Add a Gadget. And, of course, choose the HTML/JavaScript option. Paste the code for the ad and your done ! Another money making tool successfully added to your blog !

So now, please donate to this site using the PayPal button in the upper right hand corner ! Thank you !
